Things worth giving a Try

We all seek for respect, comfort and joy in the journey of life; which is precious to us and chase the things that matter to us and find that it eventually results into illusion as nothing lasts forever. So, I believe it’s important to invest and spend our time and energy on things that matter to you the most as life is what we make out of it where one should seek to stay calm amidst the chaos!

We deal with uncertainty in life as every moment is filled with surprise and eventually adds a memory for lifetime where a lesson is definitely taught as life conducts surprise exams for which we are never prepared. Life being a journey where each of us sail with our decisions and the choices we make and I would definitely suggest to add memories to it that gives experience as I believe we are here to experience life rather than living it for the sake of existence and ushering wealth.

So, here we go, a list of things worth giving a TRY

1. Plan your birthday — Celebrate the special day as per your wish instead of expecting surprises from others by valuing your life with a gift of your choice!

2. Plan a vacation with loved ones — Everyone needs a break especially your mom, so plan it with her because whatever we are today is just because of her unconditional love and care; where you will definitely cherish the moments forever.

3. Plan a trek — Meet new people and disconnect from the virtual world in the arms of nature with scenic spots on the trail where we definitely come out of our comfort zone.

4. Plan to visit any NGO or self-help group — Talk with people here and you will feel inspired to see how joyfully they come together to fight against the odds where they feel grateful by your presence and eventually you will realise how lucky and blessed you are where we still crib over pity things!

5. Use social media wisely — Don’t post any status or stories on your account for few months and set some time limit to use your social media account! It seems difficult in the beginning, so one can try as per their will power as it aims to control your mind. I admit that I have tried it and I realised that I saved a lot of time; also people who value your presence will definitely get back to you over a call rather than your update on the virtual world!

6. Quit your favourite food item — It can be anything but ensure you just love to eat or drink it, try it out for a year and the results will surprise you for sure as it no more becomes your weakness where you feel proud of yourself as you master over your cravings!

7. Clean your mailbox — Strive to keep a check of mails in your multiple accounts and you will be glad to see that your mailbox is clean and not populated with irrelevant clutter.

8. Read — Aim to read often as it eventually broadens your perceptions making you think. So, pick up any book and explore a world in it!

9. Write — You can just scribble out your thoughts, problems, solutions or even your daily plan of action where you can plan to wake up early, list of tasks in your bucket or some work out on fitness goals and just check it before going to bed. It eventually helps to channelize your thought process as we all are what we think!

10. Watch out any mythological series — In the new era, there are many trending series to watch and a topic of discussion amongst peers, I would suggest to check out any mythological series as they indeed have a take away and its worth investing time and energy to watch it in your free time!

11. Be creative — You can try any kind of art form; it can be drawing, learning a musical instrument, dancing and the list continues where learning has no age limit and YouTube tutorials are just a click away!

12. Save natural resources — Ensure you wisely use natural resources like water, food, electricity, fuels, etc. Try not to waste them as it’s important for us to be aware of its scarcity and seek out ideas for recycling and reusing natural resources.

13. Seek to find and face your fears — Experience the adventure that scares you to the core and you will definitely feel alive after experiencing it!

14. Choose minimalist lifestyle — Buy things that you need and not out of greed, eventually there will be less clutter and chaos as you don’t possess much and worry about managing it!

P.S : I hope that it motivates you to try out the things you like that eventually made sense to you while reading it out. I wish you explore the journey of life by adding experience to it and make a memorable one by walking on the path less travelled against the odds. I came up with the list as I personally experimented over years on myself to try each of the ideas and I cherish the experience as every time I met a new version of myself in the journey so far!
